Community science waste audits help tackle plastic pollution. They engage local residents in collecting useful data and insights to guide better decisions and solutions.
Sea of Life has worked with over 300 people in 2024 to better understand the burden or waste and plastic pollution across our ocean nation. Our focus is on characteristic data and well as quantity. Our data is also open source and available to all stakeholders so that we can empower community leaders! In 2025 we will bring TrashBlitz to more communities across Belize and create a more comprehensive national dataset that can drive change!
